Executive Head Teacher – Mrs Donna Lodge BA(Hons), M.Phil, NPQH

As a National Leader of Education Donna Lodge has been recognised for her work as an outstanding Head teacher over an extensive career encompassing opening new schools, working with schools requiring improvement and developing existing schools to achieve Good and Outstanding OFSTED inspection ratings.

Promoting a range of teaching and learning practices within a variety of school settings, Donna has developed strong teams of teachers, leaders and administrators through constructive challenge and support for innovation and continuous improvement.

Our Schools

On 12th April 2017, Endeavour MAT was formally notified that it has been selected to open a new secondary school in Dartford. Stone Lodge Academy will be the first non-selective school within the Trust but will use many of the tried and tested techniques used in its existing schools.

Key Features include:

  • Gender set classes in STEM subjects
  • Opportunities for students and staff in selective and non-selective schools to work collaboratively
  • Access to a broad and comprehensive curriculum offer with extensive industry support
  • Outstanding careers guidance and opportunities to participate in skill building to meet the needs of the employment market
  • Outstanding leadership and management from an experienced team of staff who have worked in a variety of school contexts
  • High quality teaching staff trained and developed through the North West Kent Teaching School Alliance

The rationale for Stone Lodge Academy stems from the Kent County Council School Commissioning Plan, which has identified the need for additional school places for secondary school children in the Stone area of Dartford. The extensive growth in new housing in the area, a rising birth rate locally which has already resulted in primary school expansions over the last few years and a growth of inward migration show that this is a Free School for which there is already latent demand.

With a carefully designed curriculum, the adoption of an entrepreneurial and global approach to learning and a focus on developing life skills, we expect demand for places to be high. More information will be available shortly and information evenings will be arranged in the coming months.

Wilmington Grammar School for Girls

Founded in 1958, our school has been helping girls to secure outstanding academic results and providing a well-rounded experience for over half a century.  The school encourages a happy and harmonious community which respects the individual and celebrates the rich diversity of backgrounds and heritage of students and staff.

We are a growing school with 840 students currently on roll, but remain sufficiently small to recognise individual talents and ensure everyone is challenged and supported to reach their goals. Our core values of respect for the individual, the encouragement of involvement within school and externally and the development of initiative to provide students with confidence and curiosity are promoted through all facets of Wilmington life.

Wilmington Grammar School for Boys

Our aim is to produce well-rounded individuals with a passion for learning and an enthusiasm for personal development. Results are consistently of a high standard with the majority of students going on to study in some of the most prestigious universities, whilst a minority opt for the Higher Level Apprenticeship programme as an alternative stepping stone to career success.

The school has an Engineering specialism and has developed some exciting links with business sponsors to ensure the curriculum is current and relevant to the rapidly changing needs of the workplace.  Visits from alumnae help to ensure our students benefit from aspirational role models and can learn about the various routes and pathways available to them.

Our Vision

Endeavour MAT – Choosing Excellence Together

Driven by a commitment to inspire and nurture the next generation, Endeavour MAT was formed in April 2017 to provide an outstanding academic experience within a supportive context. The Trust acknowledges that all learners are unique and believes that to maximise potential, both students and staff need to be stretched, challenged, inspired and supported.

The Schools within the Trust have their own identities but share the common values of respect, integrity, community spirit and a mind-set of entrepreneurship, innovation and resilience.  This creates an atmosphere where students can explore their strengths and develop their passions.

Founded on the long established working relationship between the Wilmington Grammar Schools, the Trust also works closely with other schools in both the primary and secondary phase through Wilmington Grammar School for Girls’ role as a co-lead organisation for the North West Kent Teaching School Alliance (NWKTSA). It is keen to work with non-selective and selective schools and welcomes interest from like-minded organisations.

The Trust’s vision is of a strong and sustainable organisation which enables the delivery of exceptional educational outcomes in its schools. There is an expectation that Endeavour schools forge firm, productive links with businesses and Higher Education institutions in order to give students an appropriate introduction to, and foothold in, the world of work.
