Tenax Schools Trust and Endeavour MAT explore merger to create a new, stronger multi-academy trust
Tenax Schools Trust and Endeavour MAT have announced that they are exploring the possibility of merging to create a single new multi-academy trust serving communities across the region.
If approved, the merger would bring together the schools from both trusts under a new organisation with a new name, creating a family of 13 schools committed to delivering high-quality education and opportunities for all pupils.
The discussions are being driven by a shared vision to strengthen educational provision, build on existing successes, and enhance opportunities for pupils, staff, and communities. By combining expertise, resources, and best practice across a larger network of schools, the proposed trust would be well positioned to support school improvement, staff development, and long-term sustainability.
Leaders from both trusts believe the proposed merger would create a stronger platform from which to deliver excellent educational outcomes while maintaining each school’s individual identity and connection with its local community.
A consultation with staff, parents, carers and other stakeholders runs from 4th September to 27th October 2026. Any merger would be subject to that consultation and to approval by the Department for Education.
