Endeavour MAT is delighted to welcome Wilmington Primary School into its small local Trust of three secondary schools and now one primary school.

Charlie Guthrie, CEO, said “We are thrilled to be welcoming Wilmington Primary, its staff and families into our Trust. Together, our schools offer local families an exceptional education and a nurturing environment for their children from reception through to sixth form”

Mrs Charlotte Scott, Head Teacher at Wilmington Primary School commented “This formalises the strong links we have built over the last few years and we look forward to collaborating in exciting ways in the future, for the benefit of all of our children.”

Mrs Michelle Lawson, Head Teacher at Wilmington Girls added “I am excited for the professional development opportunities this will foster, with teaching staff looking forward to working together, sharing skills and resources to support the transition of students from primary into secondary education and preparing them for the new and exciting challenges that lay ahead.”

Endeavour MAT is a small local Trust recognised for its aspirational and nurturing approach to the development of both its students and staff.  Wilmington Primary joins the three secondary schools; Wilmington Grammar School for Girls, Wilmington Grammar School for Boys and Stone Lodge School which have a shared purpose working together to support all of our young people to become well educated, rounded, community spirited young adults who are a global asset. Wilmington Primary School is the first primary provision to join Endeavour, and we look forward to working with other primary schools in the near future.

Endeavour MAT’s sixth form provision comprises a joint Wilmington Grammar sixth form, WG6 as well as a new Stone Lodge sixth form, SL6 which is also launching this month offering courses for students wishing to pursue a career in either the engineering or sports sector.

Endeavour MAT is an active member of its local community with students from across our schools taking part in a wide range of community projects and initiatives for the benefit of all local residents including weekly litter-picking, visits to our local care home, participation in community services and coffee mornings in conjunction with Macmillan’s Cancer Support.  We are exceptionally proud of our students’ engagement with their local community.  Our local network includes many local businesses and school alumni providing a wealth of external expertise and industry contacts which provide our students with additional work experience, careers advice and further education and apprentice opportunities.
